Stay Away from Foxcash.net

It's been almost a week since I last logged in to my PTC accounts. Unfortunately, when I tried to login to Foxcash.net, I got an error message saying that my userID does not exist. I tried to recover my account using my e-mail address but unfortunately, the process did not work for me as well. It's a good thing that I only earned around $2.00 from Foxcash. However, I will not be able to recover the time I spent actually earning that amount.

There wasn't even any notice in my e-mail address as to what could have been the reason why my account suddenly disappeared. I am the kind of person who reads through details, terms and conditions and other stuff, before signing up, so I'm 100% sure that I DID NOT violate any of the rules.

I was on the verge of recommending this site due to the fact that it pays a little higher compared to other PTCs. It pays $0.015 per ad clicked. The estimate timeframe for processing payouts was 30 business days -- also shorter compared to other PTCs.

I attempted to purchase referrals but I found it a little risky. If you will be using your credit card to purchase referrals, you will need to e-mail the confirmation to them before they process your request (other PTCs process these types of transaction through alertpay and other secure online payment websites).

With everything said, I encourage everyone to cancel their Foxcash.net accounts. You might not be losing that much money, but you might be better off spending your precious time on other PTC sites that will not mysteriously delete your account for no reason at all.

My First PTC: Bux.to

I was introduced to PTCs by a friend of mine. Bux.to is the first site she referred to me. I signed up last May 2008 and was immediately enticed to purchase 35 referrals for $35.00.

Vital Stats (for free members):
- average number of Ads per day: 10
- payment per ad clicked: $0.01
- payment per referral click: $0.01
- minimum amount required for payment: $10
- processing time: 60 business days
- payment mode: Alertpay
- can purchase referrals: yes

The Perks:
Bux.to allows you to click on an average of 10 sites per day if you are a free member. If you are lucky, they offer up to 18 ads on a daily basis. You get an instant credit of $0.05 after signing up and you get $0.01 for each ad you click and for each ad your referrals click. Most of the ads load instantly, so you spend around 30-45 seconds per ad.

In-betweens:
The minimum payout is $10.00. This is relatively low and easy to reach, assuming you have purchased referrals -- 35 referrals will give you $10 in 3 to 5 days. If you do not have referrals, however, you will be able to earn $10 in around 3 months.

The downside:
You can only request one payout at a time. This means that you have to wait for your payment request to be processed before you can request another payment. If you are a free member, you will need to wait for 60 BUSINESS days (that's almost 3 months) before you can request another payout. If you are a Premium member, the processing time is 30 business days (still a long time to wait for $10, don;t you think?).

I got excited when I saw I have $10 so I immediately requested payment; that was on May 28, 2008. Assuming there will be no further delays, I will be able to request another payment by August 2008, and I already have around $60.00 in my Bux.to account (thanks to my purchased referrals) and I will probably have to wait for December before I can benefit from what I have invested at Bux.to.

How Do PTC Sites Work?

For those who are not familiar with this "work-from-home" scheme, PTC sites allow you to register for free. Once you have registered, you will be able to view ads and get paid. Different PTC sites differ in terms of the following factors: number of "clickable" ads per day, amount paid for each ad you click, amount paid for each ad your referrals click, minimum payout amount, timeframe for processing payouts, and payment method.

PTC sites also allow you to upgrade to premium membership and purchase or rent referrals. Upgrading to premium membership allows you to click more ads and for most cases, it shortens the timeframe for processing payouts. Another thing I have also noticed is that you will not earn much from clicking on ads (e.g. 10 ads per day at $0.01 per ad will just give you roughly $3.00 a month). Theoretically, you will maximize earnings by referring other people or purchasing referrals (if you do not have lots of friends interested in this money-making scheme). If you purchase 35 referrals for example, assuming each referral would click on 10 ads per day, you will earn $3.50 per day or $105.00 per month.

I have already signed up to 13 PTC sites at the moment. However, I have not reached the minimum payout required for any of the sites yet. Unfortunately, I still have a dial-up connection at home, so it is not in my best interest to spend 3 hours a day clicking on ads using a very slow connection (30 seconds of viewing an ad and a few seconds waiting for the “done” check mark to appear can actually take 5 minutes!). By the end of the year, though, I will hopefully be able to draw conclusions as to whether PTC sites are viable means of earning from home or not.
